A reminder to students as well as parents / carers regarding the use of mobile phones at Rhyddings:

  • Mobile phones are banned in all communal spaces at Rhyddings, i.e. corridors, the dining room and the yards.
  • Students are permitted to use mobile phones in lessons only when permitted by the class teacher, and then only for learning purposes.
  • Phones should be switched off whilst at school.
  • Students breaching these rules will have their phone confiscated and handed to the relevant Year Leader, who will then no_iphonedecide on the appropriate sanction and whether or not the phone can be given back at the end of the school day or if it must be collected by parents / carers.

Students are not to use mobile phones to photograph or record whilst on school premises. To do so is a breach of our safeguarding policies and will result in severe consequences.
