A reminder to students as well as parents / carers regarding the use of mobile phones at Rhyddings:
- Mobile phones are banned in all communal spaces at Rhyddings, i.e. corridors, the dining room and the yards.
- Students are permitted to use mobile phones in lessons only when permitted by the class teacher, and then only for learning purposes.
- Phones should be switched off whilst at school.
- Students breaching these rules will have their phone confiscated and handed to the relevant Year Leader, who will then decide on the appropriate sanction and whether or not the phone can be given back at the end of the school day or if it must be collected by parents / carers.
Students are not to use mobile phones to photograph or record whilst on school premises. To do so is a breach of our safeguarding policies and will result in severe consequences.
