Year 8 & 9  Mock Trial Competition

Thank you to those students who came to Tuesday’s meeting and registered their interest – I was encouraged by the highly motivated and talented students who came along and look forward to preparing for the trial!

We still need more of you to join our team. If you are in Year 8 or 9 we are inviting you to take part and represent Rhyddings in the national Citizenship Foundation Magistrates’ Mock Trial Competition.

If  you are interested in a career in law, love drama or simply want to find more about how the law works and what it is like in a courtroom then this is an excellent opportunity. There will be various roles available, including lawyers/solicitors, witnesses, clerk, usher, magistrates, court journalists and artists.

The competition is open to anyone in Year 8 or 9. Regular rehearsals and meetings will be held in order to prepare for the first round of the competition which usually takes place in February or March.

There will be a 30 minute meeting to discuss allocation of roles and explain how the competition works on Tuesday 15th November at 3pm in  Room 5.
