Year 8 & 9  Mock Trial Competition

Calling all budding lawyers, judges, actors, journalists and public speakers!

We are looking for a team of 17 committed individuals from Years 8 and 9 to represent Rhyddings in the national Citizenship Foundation Magistrates’ Mock Trial Competition.

If  you are interested in a career in law, love drama or simply want to find more about how the law works and what it is like in a courtroom then this is an excellent opportunity. There will be various roles available, including lawyers/solicitors, witnesses, clerk, usher, magistrates, court journalists and artists.

The competition is open to anyone in Year 8 or 9. Regular rehearsals and meetings will be held in order to prepare for the first round of the competition which usually takes place in February or March.

There will be a 15 minute meeting on Tuesday 8th November at 3pm in  Room 5 for any students who are interested in taking part.
