Intent:
‘Travel: As much as you can. As far as you can. As long as you can. Life’s not meant to be lived in one place.’
Travel and Tourism is one of the UK’s fastest growing sectors and employs three million people. The purpose of teaching travel and tourism is to give learners an understanding of the world around them. To provide them with tools for the future, to inspire them to want to see and visit new places. Travel and Tourism allows learners to broaden their knowledge and experience in different contexts. They have opportunities to apply skills practically through project and investigation work. After completing their BTEC Tech Award, learners are in a great position to continue in the travel and tourism sector.
