The Hub

The principal aim is to recognise and support the achievements of our students through an individually-tailored and personalised timetable to support their transition from The Hub into mainstream lessons. We believe it is important to celebrate every success that individuals achieve within The Hub. This is achieved by implementing our positive recognition of the student’s effort with their learning.

  • The Hub curriculum runs parallel with the students’ mainstream lessons to support their transition
  • The Hub offers a safe and supportive learning environment
  • The importance of the development of self-esteem and regulating their behaviour, promoting reflection opportunities

The Hub facilitates the development of social, emotional and behavioural skills whilst developing communication skills and self-confidence.  The Hub works in partnership with The Social Learning Base.

Curriculum

  • Whole group project based underpinning Maths and English concepts/ team work problem solving/ personal reflection
  • Whole school Curriculum to run parallel within The Hub in order to make reintegration easier for staff and students (communication with Curriculum Leaders)
