We are delighted to announce that following an extensive process to form a Multi-Academy Trust the Headteacher Board of Lancashire and West Yorkshire and the Regional Schools’ Commissioner have approved our application for our schools to form a new Multi-Academy Trust (MAT), to be called the ‘LET Education Trust’.
Conversion will take place early in the spring term 2022 and involves the following schools:
- Huncoat Primary School
- The Hollins
- West End Primary School
Our joint vision is to provide local nursery to age 16 continuity of education, building on the strong links that exist between the schools. We believe as a group we can create a trust that is stronger than its individual parts and creating the ‘LET Education Trust’ better allows us to achieve this aim.
The Governing Bodies and Headteachers of each school have now received an Academy Order from the Secretary of State that will allow us to progress to a full conversion, which includes a formal period of consultation. In the coming term will we be in a position to answer more fully, Frequently Asked Questions and share more detailed information about the proposals of our MAT.
The formation of our Trust will mean continuity for pupils, parents and staff of each school but also provide the prospect of greater opportunity for all stakeholders across the MAT.
Through our shared vision, community links, collaboration of resource and expertise that currently exists, we firmly believe we can provide educational excellence for the young people of Hyndburn.
