Welcome to Rhyddings. I am incredibly proud to be the newly appointed Headteacher at a school that truly serves its community and affords its young people every opportunity to be the very best that that they can be.

Rhyddings has a strong tradition and sense of family, where every pupil is valued and has a feeling of belonging. This is underpinned by first class pastoral care, through a Continent House System, where every pupil is made to feel safe but also supported and challenged to do their very best.

Our curriculum offers a range of courses tailored to meet the needs of every individual, including many extra-curricular opportunities and enrichment activities. This prepares all our young people to be the best that they can be academically; so that when they leave through our gates in the summer of their final year they have the currency in qualifications to be competitive but more than that they are well rounded, considerate and compassionate young people with the skills to be successful throughout their adult lives.

We aim to develop their character so they have resilience, respect, leadership qualities and are good communicators ready for the challenges they will encounter throughout their lives.

My colleagues and I share a commitment to provide the highest quality of education for every pupil in our care and to the continual improvement of both our practice and environment. We also believe that education is most effective when pupils, parents/carers and teachers work closely together and support the high expectations we set for our collective success.

It is my hope that you will feel Rhyddings is the best school for your child. Should you have any further questions after reading this and exploring our website, please do not hesitate to contact me at school.
