English
In English we have a 5 year curriculum, comprising of both English Language and English Literature. Our exciting programmes of study ensure that students not only thoroughly enjoy English, but it also enriches them with key skills for life beyond school. Students follow the Eduqas GCSE specification.
Students study a mixture of texts, from classics such as ‘Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’ and Shakespeare, to modern novels and plays such as ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time’. Students value and understand the importance of English in the ‘real world’ through embarking on local community projects and writing for real audiences and purposes.
