Ten schools across the district competed in wet and windy conditions across a very challenging course. Rhyddings took a team of 45 athletes across five year groups to participate in the championships.
Our biggest success story was that of Keturah Bradley in Year 9, who finished in 7th place out of 88 competitors.
This place secured her a spot in the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley town team where she will represent the district at Witton Park in February. From there Keturah will have the opportunity to represent Lancashire in the prestigious English schools X-Country championships, which is the biggest school athletics event in the world.
Good luck Keturah, and well done to all our athletes!
