They will be flying to Poland (from Liverpool) and will then spend three nights in Poland. They will visit Auschwitz 1 (the museum) and Auschwitz Birkenau on different days, where they will do workshops and be able to visit areas of the camp that the general public are not given access to. They will have the benefit of having Auschwitz’s own tour guides to lead their trips. They will also be visiting Krakow old town and Oswiecim. They will have nightly debrief and reflection sessions to discuss what they have seen and help them with their emotions.

The cost of the trip is approximately £375 (this could be reduced – dependant on the uptake). If your child has not already returned a letter to me, but wishes to go, can you please email me on and then send in a £50 deposit by the 13th of October. This deposit will be refunded if the trip doesn’t go ahead. We are the only school in the area offering our students such a unique trip and therefore would say that it is a worthwhile experience for our students.

The trip is a wonderful opportunity for your child to be immersed in history and be able to understand what really happened to people in Poland.

Any questions, please feel free to email me.
