A big congratulations to our six Year 7 teams who took part in the IET Faraday Challenge 2016. Using the BBC micro:bit, students learned how to write computer code whilst developing a prototype product designed for sport, health, fitness or in the home that would improve users’ everyday lives. All of our students worked exceptionally hard producing a range of outstanding prototypes including door alarms, pedometers, compasses and more.
It was very difficult to select a winning team – the IET judge was so impressed with the quality of ideas and presentation given by the six teams. However, only one team could be selected as the overall winner. Well done to Owen, Dominic, Jack, Charlie, Finn and Josh – pictured with their trophy.
Their score put forward to the national results table where the top scoring teams over the next few weeks will be invited to London to compete in the grand final.
