Accrington and Rossendale college Chef Anthony Muldowney was in Rhyddings last week to help inspire our Year 11 catering students as they prepare for their GCSE exam.

The students have been tasked with planning a two course meal based on a country of their choice, which should be of a professional, restaurant standard.

Chef Anthony came into school to discuss potential menu choices, shared good kitchen practice and demonstrated a couple of a couple of dishes.

The final exam, which takes place in February, will be held at AccRoss’ new Heartwood centre. Students will serve their meal to parents and guests in true Masterchef style at the centre’s new Roots Restaurant, where they will have use of the kitchen’s professional-grade equipment.
