Just before the Bank Holiday weekend Year 8 Geographers visited Malham Cove as part of the Year 8 topic “Adventure Landscapes.” The cove is a vertical cliff which is 260 feet high and is made of limestone. It is very famous and was even featured in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” (watch out for it when Harry and Hermione set up camp!)

The weather this year was really good, just right for some ice-creams when we arrived back to the village. As always, we had a fantastic day with some fantastic students climbing up to the top of the cove and walking in the natural landscape of the Yorkshire Dales.
