There are many, many people who have contributed their time and services to make this year’s production of “Blaze of Glory” the success that it was.

Thank you to Miss Green, who wrote the script, and to Mrs Bell for her creativity in helping to bring the play to life. Thank you to Alex Martindale, who donated not only his time and sound and lighting equipment, but also helped train the year 9 boys who assisted him during rehearsals and the shows. Thank you to the band, who rehearsed for months to provide live music for the show – Mr Ainsworth, Mr Sanna, Mr Hargreaves, Mr Fielding and Miss Hargreaves. Thank you to Miss Bedwell, for the backgrounds on the screen and the publicity. Thank you to Miss Greenhalgh and Curtis Blackmore, who catered for the crowds during the interval. Thank you to Mrs Crawshaw, who manned the door, collected tickets, organised the raffles and donated prizes. Thank you to Mrs Jolly for stitching all of the bunting together that was created by our Year 7 students in Skills for Learning.

Thank you to Franco’s, who are long time supporters of Rhyddings. They donated vouchers for the raffle each night, and also provided the venue for the staff meal after the show (which takes an awful lot of patience and understanding!).

Thank you to all of the staff who endured disrupted lessons over the last couple of weeks as we went into rehearsals, and who also endured the noise during this time.

Thank you to the students, who pulled it all together and were very entertaining.

Thank you to the community, who bought tickets and supported our students and our school.

Lastly, thank you to Miss Booth and Mr Charlesworth for the incredible amount of work they put in with students over the last seven months.

Each production is very much a team effort, and we are proud of our students and staff for the performances they’ve given. We look forward to next year’s show!
