Thank you to Austin Moore (10PF) who, after discussion with Mr Scott yesterday, designed a clay extruder for use by students from Crosshill Special School in their Design and Technology lessons at Rhyddings. After doing some research on existing products – which cost around £90 each – Austin adapted the design to suit the needs of the students as well as the materials available to him, and fabricated it at home last night. It’s currently in use with students as they make their own clay pots. Well done Austin!
