Last Monday all year 10 students were involved in Futures Day. They were informed that they should come to school in business dress, as they were to take part in interviews with the nineteen entrepreneurs and other business people who came in to assist us. There were also a number of colleges present to give taster sessions to students.

Overall there were 140 interviews which lasted 20 minutes each. The guests involved, who are simply too numerous to  mention, were very impressed with the students and their skills. Many mentioned that they were the best mock interviews that they had been involved in! Rhyddings’ Chair of Governors, Mr Brunskill was also present and was equally as impressed with our students.

As well as thanking those guests who came to support our students, we would also like to thank Accrington and Rossendale College, Burnley College and Blackburn College for providing sessions on vocational pathways; Nelson and Colne College for their presentation on apprenticeships; and St Christopher’s for their session on sixth forms.
