Stephen Preece recently visited the set of “Film 71” when they were filming in Blackburn. Thanks to Blackburn Youth Zone for telling us about it!
For Film 71, Stansfield Street in Blackburn was turned in 1970′s Belfast in a plot that sees a British solider accidentally abandoned by his unit.
A BYZ member recently captured filming of new movie shot in Blackburn.
Steven, who visited the set with his mentor Rob, said: “At school I really enjoy my drama lessons and hope to become an actor when I am older. I read in the local paper about the filming of 71 in Blackburn so my mentor Rob took me to watch some filming.
“While I was watching I took some photographs as they recorded the scene for the film. I really enjoyed visiting and experiencing how they make a film and being able to be so close to the action as it happens. My mentor also managed to get a full written script of the filming that the actors use.
“I would like to thank the mentoring scheme and Rob my mentor for giving me this experience.”
