We would like to inform you of some important information regarding Accrington & Rossendale College’s Health & Social Care courses (September 2012 starts) that may affect some of your current Year 11 students.

The College has decided to replace the Health & Social Care courses with a new programme of Applied Science courses.  These will be available at Level 2 and Level 3 and can follow a Biomedical Science or Health Professionals pathway.

All students who have applied for Health & Social Care should still attend for interview, at which point, information on the new courses will be explained to them (along with progression routes to Higher Education and/or employment).

The Applied Science courses are also available to new applicants – not just existing H & SC applicants.

If you have any queries regarding this replacement offer, please feel free to contact us.  If you have any students/parents who would like more detailed information on the suitability of the new courses, could you please ask them to contact Lydia Nash on 01254 354437 or lnash@accross.ac.uk
